The QITP proposes two types of measure:
'Strategic measures' that will be implemented by the project sponsors (Belfast Harbour and Titanic Quarter Ltd), during Phases 1 (2021-25), 2 (2026-30) and 3 (2031-2035)
‘Developer Measures’ delivered by developers as part of their work to create new built environment on Queen’s Island. Phasing of these developer measures will be dependent on planning applications, with measures delivered alongside each scheme to be proportionate to its overall size.
Together these transport infrastructure and green travel measures will ensure that reliance on cars continues to fall, whilst encouraging and improving active and public transport use.
