To create the meaningful change, we must work together with the Department for Infrastructure and Belfast City Council to develop a better connected and sustainable city.

Within Queen’s Island we have already begun to implement new transport infrastructure including:

• work on a new Eastern Access Road due to complete in December 2021

• commencement of work to upgrade Airport Road, with enhanced cycle and pedestrian access between Victoria Park and Titanic Quarter

• better enabling our employees, residents and visitors to plan their travel, by introducing a Smart Traffic Management system, providing real time information to commuters.

These enhancements to our physical infrastructure are the foundations on which we can build the next chapter of Queen’s Island socio-economic growth.

These physical enhancements are being supported by a suite of new and innovative active transport solutions that will enhance choice and encourage commuters to change their traditional journey habits.
